Message from the DeanJennyLynn Diesen

I believe that raising successful, well-rounded adults requires a true partnership between school and home. Because you know your child best, your active involvement is vital. Together, we can pair a nurturing, challenging learning environment with your unique insight to help your child thrive.

Here are a few summer tips to help your child achieve their full potential:

  • Going on a vacation: Find books on that subject and read them with your child. Children are more likely to develop vocabulary, comprehension, and love of reading when the book has something to connect to.
  • Trade Screens for Shared Memories: I encourage families to establish reasonable limits on television, video games, and tablets. Finding time to play together not only strengthens your bond but builds vital skills. Try memory games to boost cognitive retention, Scrabble to expand spelling and vocabulary, or a game of hopscotch outside for a fun, active math lesson! Since you have the chalk out, use tape to make shapes and fill them in with chalk to make some lovely chalk art.
  • Ensure adequate sleep with the same bedtime and nutrition: A well-rested and nourished child is better able to focus and learn.
  • Keep up to date: Use ParentSquare to keep current on the bi-weekly newsletters
  • Going school clothes shopping: Patriot hall pollo colors are white, navy, red, heather gray and light gray. (See below for uniform facts.)

We believe that by working together, we can create a strong foundation for your child's academic and personal growth. Please do not hesitate to reach out to your child's teacher or the school office if you have any questions or need additional support.

Warm regards,

JennyLynn Diesen
