I/We
acknowledge that parental support and involvement are
essential for the success of John Hancock Charter School
(JHCS). I/We understand that this agreement, while not legally
binding, represents a commitment on my/our part to fulfill
my/our volunteer and other responsibilities as outlined in the
Parent/Student Handbook and as listed
below.
1.
I/We agree to accept a fair share of the work to be done by
parents as directed by the Board of Directors and the PTO.
This means that I/we will volunteer 60 hours per family per
year (6 hours per month; 30 hours per year for single parents)
to JHCS. Failure to meet this requirement will result in the
loss of voting privileges in all JHCS elections and loss of
sibling preference.
2.
I /We support the dress code adopted by JHCS and will ensure
that my/our child(ren) is(are) dressed for school in Dennis
Uniform Manufacturing Company uniform clothing according to
the dress code, and I/we will maintain such clothing in
acceptable condition.
3.
I/We accept responsibility for the behavior of my/our
child(ren) and understand that behavior not in line with the
Code of Behavior outlined in the Parent/Student Handbook will
be in direct conflict with the stated mission, purpose, and
goals of JHCS.
4.
I/We realize that it is my/our responsibility to provide
transportation for my/our child(ren) to and from school and
I/we agree to do this in accordance with the Arrival and
Pickup Procedures outlined in the Parent/Student
handbook.
5.
I/We agree to read the Parent/Student Handbook and review it
with my/our child(ren) to ensure that all involved in JHCS
understand the school’s policies, procedures, and
expectations.
